On the first day of your course we test your knowledge of German, and find the course to fit your own level – whether you are a complete beginner, advanced or even a German teacher needing further training. Eight course levels ensure an accurate placement.

Depending on the capacity of your chosen course, you will improve your skills by one or even more levels.

If required, you can confirm your German skills by taking an examination to reflect the standard you have reached. You may take standardised and internationally recognised examinations such as the TELC certificate, or prepare for the “Zentrale Mittelstufenprüfung”.

If you have sufficient prior knowledge of the language, we can also steer you towards the DSH examination or the “Ergänzungsprüfung aus Deutsch”, necessary for undertaking formal study in Germany and Austria respectively.
