The city
Berlin is undoubtedly one of the most exhilarating cities in Europe; the German capital, a superlative centre of culture, renowned for the warmth with which its citizens greet visitors from all over the world. Its emblems are unique and steeped in symbolism: the Brandenburg Gate; the famous street Unter den Linden; the Television Tower; the Victory Column; the prestigious Kurfürstendamm and the Reichstag. The latter, with its transparent, unmistakable dome symbolizes openness and the world outlook of this city with 3.5 million residents. Meanwhile, renowned universities and the newly emerging Potzdamer Platz represent the youthful, ambitious side of Berlin. Three international airports offer excellent connections to the whole world.
The school
Our classrooms are located in a newly built office building in Friedrichstraße, a vibrant and prestigious street in the heart of Berlin. From here you can effortlessly reach the most interesting sights of the city (metro connection). A friendly restaurant is situated in the spacious atrium of the building. Our bright and peaceful classrooms offer an ideal learning atmosphere – the perfect contrast to the bustling big city life directly outside.
Culture and leisure Three opera houses; two dozen renowned theatres; more than 200 cinemas; nearly 160 museums; around 8,000 bars, bistros, cafés and restaurants; two grand zoos – what more could you possibly ask for! No major artist overlooks Berlin on their European tour; no exhibition or media event passes the city by. Major sporting events, trade fairs festivals – there is nothing that Berlin cannot offer. The colourful cultural scene of a world-class city invites you to be entertained and amazed. The surrounding area also has much to offer. Green oases and famous Potsdam are a mere stone’s throw away. Your language course will become an unforgettable cultural journey. |
