Individual instruction
We take care of language students throughout the complete programme. First we analyse your language skills and targets through a diagnostic test prior to the course. We then put together a personal study programme; the time frame and content will be arranged to suit your personal requirements.
 
Individual lesson: A single student is taught by one or more teachers.
Two-person lesson: Two students with similar skills are taught by one or more teachers. Generally, the two students are acquaintances, friends or family
Family lesson: Families take lessons to suit their individual targets at an attractive price.
Total Immersion: This course takes place over five days (Monday to Friday), but may also be extended if required. The following are included in the price: Monday to Friday eight individual instructional units per day (total 40 IU); five lunchtime meals with the teacher (drinks not included).
TELC (The European Language Certificates): These are a programme of language examinations centred on language  learning within the parameters of the European Council. The F+U is an authorised examination centre.
Tandem: The “Tandem” consists of two students, native speakers of different languages, who meet at regular intervals for a language exchange. We will help you find a suitable partner.

Intensive courses
Intensive 20
We offer this course at eight different skill levels. The emphasis of the lesson is on accurate use of the language:
Speaking: Through active use of the language, through role plays, discussions and group work you gain confidence  and, in a relatively short time, are able to speak fluently.
Listening: Through communication in the lessons as well  as the use of realistic recorded material of everyday situations, you improve your listening comprehension – an important step towards gaining confidence in the language.
Reading: Through the use of newspapers, magazines, letters and books during the lesson, you will improve your reading skills.
Writing: You are assigned written tasks, which also form the basis of group discussion.

Intensive 30
In addition to the Intensive 20, you receive conversation training in the afternoons. This training is the ideal basis for an improvement in your language skills that is both rapid and lasting.

Examination preparation
From Monday to Friday (four IU daily) these courses prepare you for the DSH examination (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang) or for the “Ergänzungsprüfung aus Deutsch”. The language and grammar are taught at a high level, and training in text interpretation and analysis forms an integral part of the lessons.

Evening courses
These courses are designed for language students who, due to time restrictions, are unable to participate in daytime courses. With five or six instructional units per week, they are semiintensive and also divided into eight different skill levels.
